In a historic and monumental step towards bridging the digital divide and empowering the youth of the region, The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development (BBS-UTECH), Khairpur Mirs, successfully inaugurated the Nisar Ahmad Siddiqui IT Center, Pacca Chang. This grand opening represents a massive milestone achieved by the university in its mission to provide cutting-edge technical education.
The prestigious inauguration ceremony was officially led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗯𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵 (𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆, 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 & 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝘁. 𝗢𝗳 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗵), who unveiled the commemorative plaque and cut the ribbon to open the facility.
The ceremony was held in the presence of 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. (𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀) 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘅 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗿, the 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿, BBS-UTECH, Khairpur Mirs, who has been a driving force behind the university's rapid infrastructural and academic growth.
Addressing the gathering, Secretary Mr. Muhammad Abbas Baloch and Vice Chancellor Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar shared their profound views on the history and vital importance of the Nisar Ahmad Siddiqui IT Centers. They highlighted the visionary legacy behind establishing these centers, emphasizing that they are not merely buildings, but hubs of opportunity designed to equip the local youth with modern digital skills. They reiterated that such initiatives are crucial for the socio-economic upliftment of the region, ensuring that students from Khairpur Mirs and surrounding areas can compete on a national and global scale in the IT sector.
The event was further elevated by the presence of esteemed distinguished guests, including 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗯𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶 and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗮𝗯 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗱, Education Officer Faiz Ganj. Following the inauguration of the main IT Center, the dignitaries proceeded to inaugurate a dedicated Computer Lab within the facility. This new lab is equipped with modern computers designed to provide students with hands-on, practical experience in the ever-evolving field of Information Technology, further solidifying BBS-UTECH's reputation as a hub of technical excellence in Sindh.
The entire event was expertly conducted and compered by the Registrar of the university, who ensured the program flowed seamlessly and kept the audience engaged throughout the proceedings.
