It is with great honor that I serve as an educational leader and the Vice-Chancellor of the first technical university in Sindh, the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development, Khairpur Mirs. Being a Vice-Chancellor, my foremost object is to propel this university to new heights and to stimulate the students with ample opportunities in various Industries and Organizations.
Our first priority would be to facilitate our students particularly those from less privileged areas to become innovative and infuse among them with hands-on experience, through comprehensive monitoring, training, and industrial internships.
My utmost dedication lies in advancing the first technical university of Sindh and transforming it into a state-of-the-art institution. Accredited by the National Technology Council, Islamabad, we offer four-year undergraduate degree programs in Civil Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, and Mechanical Technology. On top of it, we continue to provide high-quality education through our three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering program after Matriculation. To promote skill-based education, the university also offers six-month short courses in different trades, enabling the youth of our country to gain essential skills and start their businesses. Our mission is to empower the community with hands-on technological knowledge through high-quality teaching & research environment, innovative tools & techniques, and entrepreneurial & global leadership skills with the consciousness of ethical norms & values.

The field of Electrical Technology is concerned with the Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Control, and Utilization of electrical energy. There are lots of job opportunities for degree holders who are also considered in both, public as well as in private sector organizations and industries.
The teaching faculty is highly educated. The subjects are taught related to electrical technology including electrical measurements, electrical circuits, electrical machines, advanced electronics, and other subjects.
BSc Mechanical Engineering Technology program is the practical application of science and engineering in the field of Mechanical Technology to solve the broadly-defined real world problems.

The Department of Civil Engineering Technology (CET) is the leading discipline in terms of student admission, faculty, and infrastructure, currently. The CET department offers essential advances in Civil Engineering Technology education according to cutting-edge requirements of the field.

This was a Technical Institute named “Sir Ali Murad Technical Institute” which was subsequently, upgraded to the level of a Polytechnic by the Government of West Pakistan in the year 1962. Then it was further upgraded to the “Government College of Technology, Khairpur” in the year 1974 to offer the B. Tech degree Programs in different Technologies.
